Most of people think chinese is very difficult to
learn.
why so many foreigners, esp. those who have never come to China,
find it so hard to learn and master this actually simple language?
As a native Chinese, I can speak, listen, write, think and understand
in Chinese in an outstanding way, but to my knowledge, the Chinese
language is not further analyzed as that in English or French, although
Chinese language has its own grammar and syntax, I rarely know which
body has ever collected materials to prove those and set a rule
of how it should be. The Chinese language is descended by oral bestow,
example-provided lecture, emulation and interactive communication,
writing and modifying. Till now, I don't know there is really a
systematic research of its existence and nature, despite its increasing
presence.
in my opinion the writing system makes the language difficult. without
it, it's very easy. no pain with verb conjugations or irregular
plurals hehe.. only difficult thing i can think of (besides the
characters) are the counting words. so many. when i started learning
chinese everyone was like 'how can you learn it? it's so difficult!'
etc etc. they won't believe if i say that it's not difficult lol.
after all, characters/ideograms or how do you call them, aren't
either so difficult. you can learn many so quickly..plus many of
them share the same radical so it makes it even easier. plus if
you look at some chinese text, you'll see that some characters are
repeated over and over again. |
