Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng pledged at a conference on February 13 to further improve services for the disabled after Expo 2010.
Yu thanked the whole staff of Life & Sunshine Pavilion, which showcased the good spirit of the disabled people during Expo 2010, for their contributions and paid high respect to workers in the sector for serving the disabled people.
He jointed other officials in presenting awards to 47 units and 281 individuals at the pavilion.
The Party chief spoke highly of the pavilion’s theme of eliminating discrimination, fighting poverty and sharing sunshine with the disadvantaged.
The Life & Sunshine Pavilion, the first of its kind in the World Expo history, received good feedback from Expo visitors, the officials said.
