The Draw Ceremony for Team Sports and Gymnastics of the 16th Asian Games was held in Guangzhou on Thursday (October 7). Draws were made in eight sports, including Basketball, Water Polo, Handball, Sepaktakraw, Rugby, Football, Volleyball and Gymnastics (Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline).

从上面的报道，我们可以知道draw ceremony就是指“抽签仪式”。Draw作为动词有“抽取，抽签决定，抽彩得（奖）”的意思，例如：draw the winner（抽签决定获胜者）；He drew a winning number.（他抽了个中奖号码。）Draw the short straw则是指“被派做苦差事”。
