Chinese Online Class – Hundred Flowers Film Festival wraps up – Learn Chinese

One of China’s top movie events, the Hundred Flowers Film Festival, closed on Saturday night.

The Hundred Flowers Film Festival closed on Saturday night. Zhao Wei was awarded the title of Best Leading Actress, and Chen Kun the Best Leading Actor.

Attended by a multitude of China’s most well-known actors and directors, the closing ceremony of the festival featured young artists becoming this year’s biggest winners.

In the category of Best Leading Actress, Zhao Wei won for her role in the movie Mulan, which was based on a timeless Chinese war story.

Her college fellow, Chen Kun, prevailed in the more fierce competition for Best Leading Actor. He outdid the well-known Zhang Guoli by playing an amorous man in the blockbuster Painted Skin.
