大牛，这里就是文游台。

我们上泰山去看看吧。

泰山是在中国的山东省，

在过去有很多人

都想上山东泰山去朝拜，
wanted to go to Mt. Taishan
for worship.
可是并不是谁都能去的。
But, not everyone was able to go.
于是人们就在自己住的地方

筑起了一座山，建起了一座寺庙，
a mountain and a temple here,
把它当成是山东泰山来朝拜。
and worshiped it as Mt. Taishan.

“Jia hua” means legend, right?
韩佳：不是。

佳话是指流传一时。
“Jia hua” refers to a good story or an
被人们谈论的好事或者是趣事。

佳话，佳读一声，话读四声，
“Jia hua,” first tone, fourth tone,

means a much-told tale.
那究竟是一段什么样的好事儿呢？

大牛：他是中国著名的秦观。
He’s the famous Qin Guan.

这位是北宋著名的文学家秦观。
He is a famous Northern Song
dynasty scholor, Qin Guan.
这文游台的佳话就跟他有关。
The story about Wen You Tai is

“Chou chu man zhi” refers to someone
对自己的成就感到很满意。

“Chou chu man zhi” is a Chinese idiom
指某人对自己的成就感到很满意。
which means to be drunk on one’s own
success, smug and complacent.

韩佳：你还是饶了我吧。

大牛：爬到泰山顶上去，古运河南北畅游。

啊，我真是太棒了。
Wow, I’m simply too good.
韩佳，韩佳，别走那么快！
Han Jia, Han Jia, wait up!
等等我嘛！

这里不错啊。
This is a nice place.
韩佳：是啊，这里是高邮的东湖，
Yeah, this is the Gaoyou’s East Lake,
是我们今天的第二站。
The second stop for today.
怎么样，环境不错吧？
Well, nice atmosphere, huh?
大牛：嗯。森林茂密，
Yes. Thick woods,
空气清新，景色宜人。
clean air, beautiful scenery.
这里是不是也有一段佳话呀？

韩佳：佳话倒是没有，

不过在这里可以一边观鸟，一边垂钓，

总之，这里的物产十分丰富。
