我们看的皮影戏呢
where we saw a shadow puppet performance.

这一周
This past week,
车队离开了秦皇岛市的昌黎县
our caravan left Changli County
of Qinhuangdao
前往震后崛起的新城
for Tangshan, Hebei Province,
河北的唐山市
a city rebuilt after an earthquake.
三十年过去了
30 years have passed.
那场灾难给人们带来的伤痛
The pain left by that disaster
在慢慢地褪去
has gradually receded.
现在的唐山正以崭新的姿态
Tangshan today has taken on
a brand-new look,
迎接四面八方的访客
greeting visitors from all walks of life.
整洁的市容 林立的高楼
These clean and neat streets lined
with tall buildings
让人难以相信
make people hardly believe that
这里曾经是一片废墟
the place was once a stretch
of rubble and ruins.
但是高耸伫立的抗震纪念碑
The towering Earthquake Monument
和抗震纪念馆仍然静静地
and the Earthquake Museum
向人们诉说着那段历史
are silently recounting the history
of those days.

默默记录着唐山市的变化

of Tangshan
从遭受地震到如今的飞速发展
and its rapid development after the earthquake.
