本周 我们的摄制组离开了台州

This week, out film crew left

Taizhou

开始了在温州的拍摄

and started filming in Wenzhou.

雁荡山是我们进入温州的第一站

Yandang Mountain is the first

stop in our tour of Wenzhou.

它不愧有

It certainly deserves to be called

“东南第一山”的称号

the Number One Mountain in

Southeast China.

各式各样的奇峰怪岩和高山飞瀑

Magnificent peaks, queer rock formations

and high waterfalls

是雁荡山最大的特色

are the most salient features

of the mountain.

尤其是这里的灵峰 灵岩

The Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan

Rock and

以及大龙湫

Dalongqiu Waterfall

号称“雁荡三绝”

are known as the mountain’s three

most spectacular sights.

黄杨木雕和细纹刻纸

Boxwood carving and fine paper-cutting

是乐清最有特色的两大工艺品

are two most famous handicrafts

of Yueqing.

黄杨木雕利用黄杨木的

Boxwood carving takes advantage of

木质光洁 纹理细腻

the smooth texture, the fine grain

色彩庄重的自然形态取材

and the natural color of boxwood.

时间愈久 其颜色由浅而深

Over time, the color becomes

darker and darker,

给人以古朴典雅的美感

giving a sense of antique elegance.

细纹刻纸精细无比 玲珑剔透

Fine paper-cutting is characterized by its

elaborate and exquisite craftsmanship.

艺人们能在一厘米宽的纸上

Artists can cut 22 lines in

a piece of paper

刻出二十二刀

one centimeter in width,

间隔不到半毫米 堪称一绝

with the distance between two lines

being less than half a millimeter.

楠溪江水清澈见底

The Nanxi River is so clear

that you can see its bottom.

四周青山秀丽多姿

The surrounding mountains are picturesque.

鬼斧神工

“Gui fu shen gong” – divine workmanship!

鲁国有个技艺非常高超的木匠

In the state of Lu, there is

a very skilled carpenter,

名叫梓庆

called Zi Qing.

他擅长用木头制造一种

He is good at making

the bell-shaped

叫做“鐻”的乐器

Ju musical instrument with wood.

他做的鐻十分精致

He makes the instrument

so exquisitely

凡是看到的人都不敢相信

that people who see it

don’t believe

这是他做出来的

it is his work.

鲁国国王见了他做的鐻之后

Seeing the Ju instrument he made,

也连声叫绝 特地召见了梓庆

the Lu king exclaimed “beautiful!”

and summoned Zi Qing.

人们传说你的鐻

“People say your Ju instrument

不是你自己做出来的

is not made by yourself.

难道真的是神鬼帮你做的吗

Is it true a god helped you

make it?”

这是大家对我的称赞过了头

“They just over-praised my

workmanship.

我只是做得比别人精致一些罢了

I only made it a bit more exquisitely

than other workmen.”

哦 那你是怎么做到的呢

“Oh, how did you make it?

你仔细讲来听听

Tell me in detail.”

于是梓庆向鲁王讲述了

Thus Zi Qing explains to

the king

制作鐻的过程

the whole production process.

原来 梓庆在做鐻之前

In fact, before making a Ju,

都要静心几天

he stays idle for a few days.

等他的心真正安静下来以后

After he get completely relaxed,

才开始绘制鐻的草图

he begins to draw a sketch

of the Ju to be made

设计式样

and designs the detailed shape.

然后 梓庆上山按照图纸

Then according to the design,

寻找最合适的木料

he selects the most ideal

wooden material

经过一段时间的精心制作

and starts production meticulously.

鐻就制成了

And thus a Ju is made.

而且我每次都严格按照

“Every time I make a Jue,

I do

以上的步骤来做

strictly according to such steps.”

人说你有鬼神相助

“People say you have gods

helping you.

我看是你比别人

I believe you work

用了更多的心思呀

more ingeniously than other workmen.”

“鬼斧神工”这则成语的意思是

The idiom “gui fu shen gong”

is so superb and extraordinarily good
