梅洛:还不只咧。你是从美国来的?那边的公司也会发年终奖金吗?
马文:有些会,不过我不觉得像这边这么普遍。而且我们都是圣诞节那时领,不是农历新年。
梅洛:当然。你来自哪一州?我听说要是你住在阿拉斯加,每年都可以领一千美元。
马文:那一定是因为他们有很多石油收入。我来自宾州,所以我不知道。
梅洛:我们公司经营这么差,也许我们全都该搬去北极算了。
马文:如果你去的话,帮我跟北极熊打声招呼。

Merle: And then some. So, are you from the U.S.? Do companies there give year-end bonuses, too?
Marvin: Some do, but I don’t think it’s as common as it is here. And we get them around Christmas, not Chinese New Year.
Merle: Of course. Which state are you from? I heard that if you live in Alaska, you get a thousand dollars every year.
Marvin: That must be because they have so much oil money. I’m from Pennsylvania, so I wouldn’t know.
Merle: With my company doing badly, maybe we should all just move to the North Pole.
Marvin: Do say hello to the polar bears for me, if you go.
