They are eating now
Wei: This pizza is way too oily for me.
Trev: Why don’t you use your napkin to sop up some of the oil?
Wei: Because I don’t want to eat paper, silly.
Trev: I’ll eat the pizza for you, if you don’t like it.
Wei: I could smear it on your face, if that’s what you mean.
Trev: It won’t be the first time I’ve had pie on my face. Like President Bush said, “Bring it on!”
Wei: Quick, Paul, get your camera out for this! Here you go, Trev. Enjoy! [throws pizza at Trev]

Beijing Olympic – Idowu leaps into Triple Jump final ranked first

Monday, September 21st, 2009

(BEIJING, August 18) — Phillips Idowu of Great Britain has taken the lead in the Men’s Triple Jump after recording a 17.44m jump in group A’s qualifying competition on Monday, the furthest of the preliminary round.

He will now go into Thursday’s final ranked first, ahead of Nelson Evora of Portugal, who recorded a season best 17.34m jump, and China’s Li Yanxi, who jumped a personal best of 17.30m to enter the final ranked third.

With Athens 2004 Olympic Games gold medalist Christian Olsson of Sweden absent through injury, a competitive group of jumpers is ready to take his title, all with strong credentials in major competitions.

After years of underachievement, Idowu is showing he can compete at the highest level. Earlier in 2008, he won the World Indoor Championships gold medal and has a 2008 best of 17.58m.

Evora of Portugal was a surprise winner at the 2007 World Championships, which he won with a jump of 17.74m. Before then, his best result had been fourth place at the 2006 European Championships. The 24-year-old will also take part in the Long Jump competition before the Triple Jump.

Jadel Gregorio is a big medal hope for Brazil and qualified ninth with a jump of 17.15m. The 27-year-old finished second behind Evora in Osaka 2007 with 17.59m and won the Pan American Games gold at Rio de Janeiro in 2007.
