Cir – Lesson 417

Sunday, August 16th, 2009

“The smiles of the Olympic volunteers are Beijing’s Calling card” With millions of smiles throughout both the Olympic and Paralympic games brought by the volunteers, this spirit of joy has taken roots and spread to every country.

Beijing citizens are naturally hospitable, and after experiencing the Olympic Games, their international awareness has been greatly enhanced, as well as their awareness as citizens. Most of the Olympic venues are built in Beijing, many of which are on college campuses. These venues are characterized by an avant-garde design and advanced facilities and equipment which undeniably left a vivid impression on the visitors. Just standing in one of these places where champions battled and records were shattered seems to bring one back to the majesty of the competition.
