Janie drops a letter on the ground and Li-an picks it up
Li-an: [Looks at the envelope] Here you go. Hey, isn’t your husband’s last name Baker?
Janie: [Laughs] Yeah, but I decided to keep my maiden name after I married.
Li-an: Really? I thought all Western women changed their last name to their husband’s after they married.
Janie: Well, these days things are changing somewhat. Some women take their husband’s names.
Li-an: And some women keep their maiden names. Why did you choose to do that?
Janie: Well, one reason was that I work in PR, so a lot of people know my name. So it didn’t make sense to change it.
