and one of eight major fishing harbors

客家人就开始在惠州建造围屋了
Hakka Chinese began to build enclosed
round houses in Huizhou.
至今还保存着一大批

archeological value
有较高文物价值的古建筑
have been kept to this day.

are a salient feature of the area.

蓝田瑶族乡位于
The Lantian ethnic Yao township
惠州市龙门县最北部
in the northernmost part of
Longmen County
是惠州市惟一的少数民族乡
is the only ethnic minority township
in Huizhou.
每年农历八月十五
On the 15th day of the eighth month
every year on the lunar calendar,
瑶乡都会举行群众性的
this Yao township will hold the popular
“舞火狗”活动
Fire Dog dancing activities.
在美丽的风光中
By the side of beautiful bonfires,
欣赏瑶族同胞的传统舞蹈
watching the traditional Yao dance
