Monday, February 16th, 2009

The three-month long Hong Kong 2008 Olympic Photograph Traveling Exhibition ended on Tuesday with a prize drawing ceremony. Han Li, secretary general of the exhibition organizing committee and deputy head of Wen Wei Po Daily News, said that 80,000 people had visited the exhibition and nearly 10,000 took part in the Olympic Knowledge Prize Contest.

The traveling exhibition started at the HK Central Library on April 25. About 300 selected photos were arranged corresponding to the five Olympic colors — blue for the Olympic flame, read for the Olympic dream, green for Olympic China, yellow for Olympic smiles and black for Olympic Equestrian events in HK.

The photos documented recent developments in preparations for the Beijing Olympic Games and the atmosphere of celebration for the upcoming Olympic Games.

The traveling exhibition was presented by the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of HK, China, the Organizing Committee for Pre-Olympic Games Celebration by the HK Youth Sector, and Wen Wei Po Daily News.

It traveled to all 18 districts of HK and admission was free for local residents.

Timothy Fok Tsun-ting, president of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of HK, and others were present at the prize drawing ceremony.
